OUR TEAM

Our team is formed by qualified and international staff. We are united by commitment, passion for teaching, as well as the big heart we put into teaching, upbringing and caring.

The needs of our preschoolers, mutual respect and the relationship of closeness are crucial to us - that's why we are happy to hug our children or hold them on our laps whenever they need it.

We prepare interesting projects, we take our children on educational trips, we support our students’ independence.

Word from the owner

Dear Parents

I would like to invite you and your children to join our two educational institutions – Magic World Preschool and World Primary School. We present a coherent and continuous schooling from preschool level to the end of primary education in fully bilingual system. Beginning in the kindergarten, the classes are held in two languages – Polish and English. This approach to education is continued at school, which makes using both languages by children natural and effortless. This exceptional place has been inspired by my own educational experiences. I graduated from school a couple of years ago. The world has changed substantially in the meantime, and the school seems to not follow these changes. Education should address the needs of the contemporary world, so I have created this place with this idea in mind. I would like our students to be world citizens, communicating in English easily. Our students should not have any language
barriers, they should understand the differences between cultures, be open-minded and respectful towards others. World Primary School & Magic World Preschool both form a wonderful international adventure based on openness, meaningful relationships and co-operation that will all be fruitful in the future.

I truly hope that the challenges we face as parents in the 21st century with regard to proficient English communication will inspire you to join us in my preschool and primary school.

I am a wife and mother myself. I have graduated in psychology and the second degree musical school. My interests revolve around child’s and youth’s  developmental psychology. I like travelling, reading and listening to music. Now my passion is my new school and preschool to which I would like to invite your children.

See you there!

Marta Kowalska

Imagine a place you would like to be at.

An exceptional place that your child will always remember with joy.

I have the pleasure to be involved in working to create new a bilingual school and preschool in Suchy Las, a school in which your child will learn new skills every day. This can be better achieved not in a rigid school desk but in an environment that is supportive, cooperative and open.

The fastest and the most effective method of learning (especially language learning) for children is, of course, through fun reached via imagining different situations or role-play. If we are involved in something, it is much easier to remember the phrases and vocabulary we used. What is the most
effective way to learn English? Using your imagination …

I am one of the lucky ones for whom work is a real pleasure, and as the Chinese proverb says, „If a man does a job he loves, he will not work a moment in his life”. I graduated in physics and computer science at the Faculty of Physics at the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań and from a qualification course for educational executives. I gained knowledge and experience as an inspector, primary school headmaster and teacher. I shared my passion in the field of physics and computer science in elementary, middle, high and post-secondary schools and inclusive schools. Working as an inspector for the Board of Education in Poznań and the headmaster of a primary school, I was able to acquire knowledge mainly in the field of pedagogical supervision. A turning point in my life was the completion of the „Academy of Leadership of Education” in Warsaw, which
honed my skills of engaging teachers. This training improved my skills and knowledge in terms of holistic human development. It also triggered a huge drive for improvement …

What motivates me:

JOY – watching how children develop their curiosity under my wings and how wonderful young
people grow up.

PASSION – which gives you the strength and willingness to constantly develop, learn from others’ experiences, learn from mistakes, share your knowledge, experience and constant search …

My dominant intelligences are:

mathematical and logical intelligence – it allows me to organise and combine various aspects of my duties. Thanks to it I am inquisitive, creative and effective in solving problems and looking for the best solutions. I am entertained by thought-provoking games and puzzles;

natural intelligence – gives me the opportunity to regenerate in nature and derive strength from the beauty of the surrounding nature;

interpersonal (social) intelligence – for me it is an invaluable support in building relationships in the sphere of professional and private life.

Sound knowledge of the subject combined with many years of experience in working with children, it was not by chance that influenced the decision to co-create a new place for the youngest: Magic World Preschool and World Primary School in Suchy Las. I would like children in our preschool and school to feel safe and respect themselves and others. I hope that they will grow up to be wise, happy and responsible adults.

Dr Paweł Rogaliński

With 14 years in education, I will be starting my seventh year as a school leader, and I am very happy that this is happening at World International School.

World International School is a school based in Suchy Las, Poland, for students aged 2 to 15, offering a high quality education with Cambridge International Curriculum. Our goal is to ensure that pupils receive an excellent, engaging and enjoyable education. We have a strong academic focus, encouraging our students to be ambitious and creative.

The preparation of our students for the next stage of their educational journey is, of course, our school’s main focus but we never lose sight of the fact that school years must be enjoyable, exciting and memorable for every student at World International School.

My Teaching Philosophy

My philosophy of teaching is very simple, because I believe that teaching must be simple. Only then can we be sure that proper understanding is taking place and what follows, learning.

In this process, however, a teacher must be only a guide. Students should not totally rely on their teacher when it comes to finding answers and solutions to problems. Therefore, critical thinking should be encouraged within a classroom, then practiced and reinforced by the teacher’s feedback. However, it is students who should develop the skill and the teacher should only guide them by teaching critical thinking, considering problems from more than one perspective, doing proper research before writing a paper or giving an opinion.

Another important skill that students should develop is thinking out of the box. A teacher should encourage students to be creative, to find solutions that may not be straightforward, but require time and effort and to be inquisitive. Only then will they be able to create something unique, come up with a fascinating idea that no one else has ever thought about or invent a completely new way to describe something. Again, the teacher should only encourage students by giving them questions/exercises that can be easily answered with no effort at all and at the same time in the most surprising way. I once asked my students to describe the sea. They could write about the waves and that it’s blue or deep, but when encouraged a little more and asked to be creative, none of these things happened. Instead, their essays read more like poetry.

Also, I believe that boredom kills all the positive feelings and willingness to learn, to discover things. That is why lessons should be interesting, engaging, motivating and directed to the students with all types of learning styles.

Lastly, I believe that one of the most essential skills that the teacher should have is passion. I heard once that „education is like a lantern which lights your way in a dark alley.” The same can be said about a teacher. A good teacher is different from a bad one in the way that he not only teaches, he is like a lantern, he lights the way in the darkness, inspires and is able to make a difference.

I became an educator only because my English teacher was passionate and he spread this passion amongst his students. He was not only teaching but guiding us through life. I always wanted to become like him and that is why I chose my profession.

After a couple of years of teaching I am sure I made it. The moment I realized this was when my student came up to me and said: „Mr Pawel, in the future I want to be just like you”. And this is also the biggest reward I have ever received in my career.

Education and Experience

I also passed Teaching License Examinations: Pedagogy and Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) as a part of Educational Professions Licensure of the UAE Ministry of Education and completed CSML (Certificate in School Management and Leadership) course at Harvard University.
