Intimacy

Our primary school is for students from 1st to 8th grade. Small groups of up to 18 people are conducive to the individualisation of working with the student, taking into account their needs, interests and, above all, development opportunities. During the classes, students acquire knowledge and skills through active teaching methods: educational games, educational drama projects, discussions. We use modern IT tools and various forms of work, e.g. individual work, group work, etc. We want to invite guests who are interested in the world as well. Physical development is important to us, which is why we focus on sport.

Bilingualism

Why is it worth it?

World Primary School jest szkołą z Międzynarodową Akredytacją – Cambridge Assessment International Education – Cambridge International School. Realizujemy program Cambridge Primary & Lower Secondary.

Why is it worth it?

World School is a bilingual Polish-English school. We teach pupils bilingually. English-language classes are held daily for a total of 8-10 teaching hours a week and form an integral part of the entire program. English-speaking teachers are also homeroom teachers, they participate actively in school life and all school events. Pre-school and primary school time is the best time to develop bilingualism due to the natural and innate ability to learn a language. Fluency in a second language is not the only beneficial effect of the language immersion policy. This developing of linguistic skills goes hand in hand with boosting student’s creativity, cognition, intelligence and flexibility, the research suggests. Bilingual students learn to think outside the box, adapt to changes more easily than monolingual students, and are able to find alternative solutions to arising problems.

Homework

We put emphasis on learning at school, where the student cooperates with the teacher who explains any doubts, asks questions and solves problems with the child. After they return home, we want the time of our students to be filled with rest, child-parent relationship building and playing with siblings or friends. Time after school should be devoted to developing passions, reading books or fulfilling household duties.

The school without bell

World Primary School is the school without a bell. In grades 1-3, teachers adjust breaks to the needs of students, observe the energy level of the class, have the opportunity to use students' moments of concentration well and don’t disturb them with strictly imposed time frames.
In grades 4-8, individual classes end according to the timetable. Oftentimes, the classes are conducted in the topical blocks - as the humanities, natural sciences and hard sciences. During such a block, the teacher decides when to make a break, taking the level of focus in the class and the needs of students into consideration. Thanks to this, the topic can be covered in a natural manageable cycle.
